Terms

The plain version.

Read what you like, quote it with credit, and don't mistake coaching for medical care. The rest is detail.

Coaching is not therapy, and this site is not care

Mary is a Certified Grief Educator and an Erickson-Certified coach. She is not a therapist, a physician or a licensed mental-health clinician, and nothing on this site — the writing, the method, the rituals, the recipes — is medical advice, psychological treatment or a diagnosis. Coaching works forward from where you are; it does not replace clinical care, and it is not an emergency service.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please stop reading and reach someone who can help now. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911. Elsewhere, contact your local emergency number. If what you need is clinical care, Mary will say so and help you find it.

Using this site

You're welcome to read, print and share anything published here for your own use, and to quote it with credit and a link. What you may not do is republish it as your own, sell it, or feed it into a product or service without permission.

The writing, the photographs and the Remembrance Method™ itself belong to Mary Dumont. Asking is usually all it takes — write to the address on the contact page.

What you send

Anything you send through a form on this site stays yours. By sending it you're giving Mary permission to read it and to write back, and nothing more; see the privacy page for what is stored and for how long. Please don't send anything unlawful, anyone else's private information, or anything you wouldn't want read.

Coaching arrangements

The enquiry form is an introduction, not a booking, and sending one doesn't create a coaching relationship. If you and Mary decide to work together, the specifics — sessions, fees, cancellations, confidentiality — are agreed directly between you and take precedence over anything on this page.

No promises about outcomes

Grief is not a process with a guaranteed end, and nothing here promises a particular result. The site is offered as it is: Mary aims to keep it accurate and available, but can't guarantee it will be free of errors or always reachable, and she isn't liable for any loss arising from relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Links out

Where this site links somewhere else, that place has its own terms and its own privacy practices, and Mary isn't responsible for what it says or does.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, United States. (Mary: please confirm this is the jurisdiction you want before relying on it.)

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. Using the site after a change means you accept the version published here.
